The Tools We Use

🤖 Windsurf AI — Core Assessment Tool Authorization Required

What it is:

Windsurf AI is an AI-powered development environment built on Claude Sonnet (Anthropic). It functions as an intelligent coding and analysis assistant that we integrate throughout our assessment workflow.

Why we use it:

Traditional manual code review has limits — primarily time and human bandwidth. Windsurf AI extends our analytical capacity significantly:

  • We can review larger, more complex codebases in the same engagement window
  • Pattern recognition across the entire codebase is more systematic and consistent
  • Documentation generation is faster and more structured, which means your deliverables are more thorough
  • We surface issues that a purely manual review might miss under time pressure

What our process looks like:

  1. AI-assisted analysis: Windsurf AI performs initial scans, pattern identification, and documentation drafting within the scope of your assessment
  2. Expert review: Every AI-generated finding is reviewed by an experienced engineer — we validate, contextualize, and correct as needed
  3. Final deliverable: Your documentation reflects our professional judgment informed by AI-assisted analysis, not raw AI output

What Windsurf AI does not do:

  • It does not make business decisions — those remain with you
  • It does not replace engineering expertise — it amplifies it
  • It does not access systems beyond what is explicitly authorized in your engagement

⚠️ Authorization Requirement

Because Windsurf AI processes your code and technical documentation, your explicit authorization is required before we begin any engagement. This is formalized through our Windsurf AI Client Consent Form, which is part of your standard engagement paperwork. The consent form covers:

  • What data Windsurf AI processes
  • How that data is handled
  • Your right to revoke consent with 30 days' notice

Important: Techsessment engagements require Windsurf AI. Clients who are unable or unwilling to authorize AI tool usage are respectfully referred to alternative consulting resources. We believe in being upfront about this requirement before any time is invested on either side.

What You Receive

All Techsessment deliverables are professional Markdown documentation — structured, formatted, and immediately usable by your engineering team. Our scope is assessment and documentation only.

What We Provide

  • Prioritized roadmaps with effort estimates
  • Code examples and implementation guides
  • 90-120 day email support for clarification questions

What We Don't Provide

  • Implementation services
  • Training or coaching
  • Ongoing retainers or advisory services beyond the support window
